The Problem
The roof at 989 Keystone Dr had two layers of old shingles that needed to come off — you can't just keep stacking shingles and call it fixed. On top of that, the basement had cracks in the walls and floor, deteriorating concrete, and no proper drainage slope around the foundation. Water was winning.

How We Fixed It

Both layers of old roofing were completely torn off down to the deck. The deck was inspected and damaged sections were replaced. Two rows of ice and water shield were installed at the eaves — critical for Cleveland winters — along with synthetic underlayment across the full roof. CertainTeed Landmark Pro architectural shingles were then installed with proper nailing patterns, new aluminum drip edge, ridge vents for airflow, and full flashing at the chimney and all penetrations. The roof comes with a 25-year material warranty and a 4-year workmanship warranty.
Basement Concrete Repair & Foundation Waterproofing
Inside, every visible crack in the basement walls and floor was repaired and sealed. Loose and deteriorated concrete was patched and stabilized. A sealant was applied to all treated surfaces. Outside, the foundation perimeter was inspected, all gaps and holes were sealed, and the soil around the house was regraded so water drains away from the foundation instead of into it. The downspout discharge was extended to move water away from the structure.
The Result
989 Keystone Dr now has a brand-new roof that will handle whatever Northeast Ohio weather throws at it, and a dry, sealed basement with water draining away from the house the way it should. The property is protected from both the top and the bottom.
