The Problem
This Newburgh Heights home had a shingle blow off the roof — leaving the deck exposed to Ohio winter weather. On top of that, the chimney mortar had deteriorated at the top and needed to be rebuilt to stop water from getting into the attic. A section of gutter was missing and several fascia boards had come loose.
Each of these problems on its own is manageable. Together, they were letting water attack the house from multiple angles. The owner needed everything fixed at once, fast.
How We Fixed It
Roof Shingle Repair & Seal
We inspected the affected area, removed loose and damaged surrounding shingles, installed new matching shingles, and sealed all edges with roofing-grade asphalt sealant. The attic was checked for moisture to confirm no additional damage had spread.
Chimney Mortar Repointing & Top Rebuild
The entire chimney was inspected for loose and deteriorated mortar. The compromised top section was fully rebuilt — old mortar removed, all joints repointed, crown slope corrected for proper water runoff. The chimney was left watertight and no longer leaking into the attic.
Gutter Section Replacement & Fascia Board Installation
A new matching gutter section was installed with proper pitch for drainage. Loose and blown-off fascia boards were replaced with new exterior-rated boards, secured with proper fasteners, and sealed at the joints. Everything tied back together cleanly.
The Result
4411 Beta Ave in Newburgh Heights now has a fully sealed roof, a rebuilt chimney that won't leak, a properly pitched gutter that drains correctly, and new fascia boards secured to the structure.
